L'armoire de puissance se compose principalement d'un redresseur, d'un filtre et d'un tableau de commande du redresseur. Sa fonction principale est de convertir environ 200 V de courant alternatif triphasé-en courant continu réglable en continu allant de 0 à 235 V via un redressement pleine onde triphasé-à thyristors-. La sortie CC, après filtrage, fournit un courant stable au circuit inverseur pour répondre aux exigences opérationnelles du circuit inverseur résonant parallèle.
